Saturday was, like, fun. We had a farewell BBQ for a friend who is going back for good. Just like every road has it turns, every hello has its good-bye, don't you think?
Anyway, we tossed some avocados, lettuces, grape tomatoes, and citrus for the salad and some home-made vinagrette for the dressing. The salad and the dressing were light and nice to compensate for the hearty, yummy meat and seafood stuff.
For the condiment, I sliced only the freshest of pinapples, carrots, cucumbers, shallots, and habaneros pepper for some kick-ass
acar. After a 12-hour sit on the fridge, it scored just perfectly.
After the munching, some of us took a walk down the 20-min trail (which turns out to go around a cemetery, nothing spooky there). The trail reminded me of the ones back in
Rumbai, minus all the exotic animals and vegetation. Oh, how I miss Rumbai terribly.
At night, while watching two episodes of Law & Order, the original and the SVU, I took time to start (and finish) a red country-styled pillow cover. It was intended for a decorative pillow, but ended up to become a real-sized cover.
And oh my, today is the 1st of February, isn't it? Time sure flies when you're having fun.
