Lots of hissing and shaking the snake moved away...

My goodness. Food Channel's All American Festival succeded killing my appetite for an after dinner snack last night. They broadcasted this show about an annual rattlesnake roundup (claimed as the world's largest of such thing) in Sweetwater, TX. More than 100 tons of Western Diamondback rattlesnakes aka Crotalus atrox have been turned in for a cookout which also featuring a snake meat eating contest. Can you imagine that? Bleah... "It tastes like chicken" was one visitor's response to the reporter's question. So there was deep fried, fajita style, bbq, chili, stew, and many more meals created from this rattling "beast".
