I didn't know that our sleek, and not to mention ergonomic and comfortable, office chairs could cost as much as $ 529. Did the department have that much money? Did they get a deep discount or something? Was it one of the requirements for the 100-year building life expectancy?

At first, I thought the chairs were designed by one of those Scandinavian minimalists. Looking at the bottom back, it's actually a Herman Miller, pretty much an American company.
