The Moon Cake

My friend/choir buddy/colleague (the functionality is really in that order), L, stopped by to the office this afternoon. Her moment was just perfect. Our chit-chat succesfully purged out the sleepiness out of my lazy sleepy head, so that afterwhile I came back fresh and ready to scrutinize the mumbo jumbo thesis stuff.



It turned out that yesterday was the beginning of the Mid Autumn festivity, and with it, came the necessity for some Moon Cake. No one in the office bought or received any, so they (including me, of course, hehe) were very appalled when L offered to bring some down from her office. Her advisor travelled to HK last week and he bought and brought the most famous/expensive brand of the Moon Cake back for his students (O how so very nice of him!). The cake has eggs and lotus paste fillings but was a tad too sweet and oily. Regardless, it was nice.
So, is it a common practice to say, "Happy Mid Autumn"? Or is there a more apropriate sentence?
