Aha!
The 2005 hurricane season...the most interesting thing ever happens to CS (at least during my residence time).

Recaps:
- Rita's a Cat. 5, merely hours after the upgrade to Cat. 4. Saturday landfall is predicted.
- Galveston has been mandatorily evacuated, the rest of Houston's probably next. (Wati, get up here as soon as you can)
- Brazos county are probably not gonna be affected much, oh wait, except for heavy wind, flooding rain, and power blackout.
- School will be officially closed on Friday, football game is conveniently moved to tomorrow.
- Publics have been "raiding" local area groceries for essentials survival kits. Most of these places ran out of stuff as soon as they were restocking at these wee hours of the morning. D-type batteries, nada, zip, nil!
- Regular unleaded is gone, leaving the next two expensive grades and diesel.
Just wondering, how the electricity thing will work out. It should be helpful that Texas is on a separate island grid from the rest of the continent.

More update, later.
