Just another night creature

Hmm..I don't remember who exposed me to that Jack Ryan character first. Was that John the former colleague, or was it you, Din, with you first edition hardcover of something?

Anyway, I've been reading The Executive Order for a couple of weeks now (it's thick, I'm slow). It had been silently collecting dust all these years. I never had any intention to start reading until I was running out of options. Oh, and last Saturday, AMC ran The Clear and Present Danger, what a coincident!

Hookay, I never knew I would enjoy political drama this much. Kinda reminding me of those mandatory Poli-sci and History classes, in a good way, of course.

Blog this!

Aha!

The 2005 hurricane season...the most interesting thing ever happens to CS (at least during my residence time).

Recaps:

Just wondering, how the electricity thing will work out. It should be helpful that Texas is on a separate island grid from the rest of the continent.

More update, later.

Most of these are not true

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to obedience and warmth.

In love, you feel the most alive when everything is uncertain, one moment heaven... the next moment hell.

You'd like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was insecure and in constant need of reassurance.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something that will confine you. You are afraid of marriage.

In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.
What Are The Keys To Your Heart?

Discuss

In light of the food-related posts this blog has assumed, what are the differences between kripik and krupuk? Discuss.

Providing some examples of each (5 bonus points), sending assorted samples to moa (you-deserve a-very-special-spot-in-my-heart points).

"Excerpt"

Girl: "So, you DO think he's interested."
Guy: "Yes."
Girl: "Based on the 'handshaking' thing?"
Guy: "Based on it-bothers-you-so-much thing. Go ahead, give it a try, treat it as a learning experience."
Girl: "Hmph...okay, we'll see how I handle it."

Hmm...

This morning for breakfast, I had one Lemon-filled Bismarck, 1/2 of a chocolate glazed donut and a glass of chocolate milk. All the sugary, fatty goodness, one would say, except now my stomach is growling and I am all in all hungry just sitting right here in front of the computer. Which is abnormal, I always skip lunch, do something more physical, and will be okay until dinner time. Talking about weird metabolism.

There's always the options to forage food from the department's kitchen or to go across the street for some quick fill-in, but I'm just lazy. No worries, in an hour, I'll be saved.

The schedule for tonight:

Ain' life, ehm, grant?

I suspect I've received a perfect serve. What to do, what to do? Return the ball and play along with it or just stand right there on my comfort corner. Looks like, it's going to be the latter.

Dang, this left foot still hurts.

Soundtrack

--d--,

I've only read Murakami's Sputnik Sweetheart and the first few chapters of The Wind-up Bird Chronicle. Yes, reading him definitely "is like going to a battlefield of mind".

If he ever needed soundtracks for his stories, this (save for the vocal) would be one of the perfect choices. To me, they are kinda at the same dimension, streaming and unique.

In defense of natural disaster?

This is the kind of mentality some people should get his/her mind on:

So, stop all of the non-sense, why don't we just get down and help.
