Bihun sangat iri hati terhadap Indomie. Setiap kali bertemu di supermarket mereka tidak pernah bertegur sapa, bahkan bihun sering mengolok-olok Indomie di depan umum, "Dasar kribo jelek hiih,mentang-mentang kuning & gemuk aja orang-orang lebih suka sama dia, nggak tau malu."
Hari-hari berlalu dengan semakin menumpuknya rasa kebencian. Indomie tetap adem ayem, tidak peduli bihun mau bilang apa. Pikir Indomie, "Kafilah menggonggong gue berlalu aah..."
Suatu hari di supermarket muncul item baru bernama spaghetti. Saking tidak kuat(nya) menahan emosi, bihun berlari dari raknya dan memukuli kepala spaghetti sambil berteriak, "Jangan kira gua enggak ngenalin eloe ya!! Meskipun di-rebounding begitu, gue tetep tau eloe si kribo jelek itu..."
"We are a couple now", he said this morning. "What? You two are car-pooling together? Why?" I asked, and I was very puzzled. "No, we are going public, we are a couple now." He explained with a very big happy smile. "Oh..congratulation."
He just told me last night that they're taking things slowly and look at them now. Love/infatuation is an amazing thing, isn't it? And I learnt a thing or two about courtship. ha.ha.

Oh, I was mistakenly believe that the Thunderbirds were here last week. No, it's supposed to be this week, tomorrow to be exact. The FAA is closing whole square miles area of traffic, including the FM 2818. No, they're not using it as a runway. Just in case there's something wrong with the airshow, they need to isolate the area really quick.

Happy mid-week, kids, and remember, a little of what you fancy does you good!
I finally break my blogfast (see Mother D, it wasn't a blogliday).
Several things worth mentioning:
1. Happy fasting for our Moslem brothers and sisters. (The Ramadhan started last Sunday, Monday?)
2. Daylight saving ended last Sunday, which means extra hour of sleep. (Fall back, Spring forward, remember this X)
3. I'm in a writing frenzy.
4. Ndoro Yadda made me hemp bead necklace and bracelet. (They're cute)
Catch ya later.
Meanwhile, for those of you who haven't had a chance to participate on either the survey to your right or this, please...
Oh before I go, let's reflect the truth in the following philosophy of life (by this Lady):
"Fill what's empty, empty what's full, and scratch where it itches."
I woke up this morning with the tunes of the Stormy Monday on my head.
It is for sure a Thursday blue.
If my emotion were a roller coaster, today I'm in the bottom of the scary ride.
It might be just the lack of sleep and the stress coming from the thesis writing and the people keep pretending I'm the coordinator of that thing we're organizing. Don't we all agree that we're all coordinating this together? Why keep waiting for me for you to start that part you are responsible for? Arrgghhh.
Somebody was just whistling that one sound track of that movie.
It's eerie.
I'm bored and it's only Wednesday. So I decided to post this "problem". I hope both of them will never ever land on this blog. *knock on wood*
Will you peace loving dearies help me?
Here we go....
* Your closest colleague at work (CC) is in an infatuation with your friend (F).
* F seems to like CC, or at least that's what you've observed from the flirtings and all.
* CC starts interrogating you stuff about F.
* F kinda does the same thing to you.
* CC keeps asking your opinion about CC's self, e.g. "Am I good looking enough for F, am I manly enough for F, am I tall enough for F?" and so on and so forth.
* You know CC's "tragedic" epic of romance so far and you know that CC is kinda mentally unstable.
* You also know a bit about F's previous relationships, and because of that you believe maybe these two are not suitable for each other.
What will you do?
Act neutral? or
Support or
against their "formalizing" the relationship?
This Friday, this gentleman along with this gentleman, will come down here to College Sta. giving a talk in the Leadership Forum at Rudder. I'm going to get the 2 free tickets at the MSC Box Office.
Attempted movie review from an innocent movie goer
It is nice to witness a great director paid tribute to everything he held dear all this time; in this case, the Asian martial art genre, anime, Star Trek, and the 70's. Kill Bill vol. 1 is a (part of a) movie about action (gory and all) but not necessarily about a story. The B&W, the slomo, the anime-ted sequence, and the non-sequential plot add up to one interestingly beautiful (part of a) flick.
I wish it wouldn't have to be edited into 2 volumes (a definite marketing ploy?). I could sit for another 2 hours, curious to just how the complete picture will lead us to understand the plot. How did she determine the order on her revenge-list, what's up with this Bill, why did Black Mamba become the victim or is she the real victim?
Uma plays the vengeance-full character beautifully but the one that I have my heart for is Sonny Chiba, the sword-maker. It is interesting to note that the women play larger roles in this movie.
It felt as if some significant weight has been lifted from my shoulders. This day is the day that makes me really trully deeply believe in the power of prayer and humility. This day reminded me of that night they bestowed the opportunity so precious, it leads me to this pathway of life. I am filled with so much graciousness that I really need to let this emotion surfaced.
Thank you God, thanks to my parents and sibblings, thank you guys, thank you all for your support.
Ave Maria, Gloria Mundi.
"We finally set a defense date, some time in the first week of December"
Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
You been out ridin' fences for so long now
Oh, you're a hard one
I know that you got your reasons
These things that are pleasin' you
Can hurt you somehow
Desperado, oh, you ain't gettin' no youger
Your pain and your hunger, they're drivin' you home
And freedom, oh freedom well, that's just some people talkin'
Your prison is walking through this world all alone
Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
Come down from your fences, open the gate
It may be rainin', but there's a rainbow above you
You better let somebody love you, before it's too late
Awwwww....so...truuueeee....all three of 'em. Huhuhuhu.....
"Usted necesita para entrar?", she said.
"Se no habla Español. But, yes, I do really need to get in." I replied.
"Ah, do you need to talk to Mr. A*****?", she asked.
"Well not really, I am one of the TAs, I left my ID inside.", I said.
"Ah, okay", then she unlocked the door with one of the key from her key chain.
"Gracias, muchas gracias." I said many many times.
"De nada", and off she went pushing her cart full of cleaning supplies.
That lady is such an angel. Thanks, Lady!

If Martha Stewart ever going to be incarcerated, at least she has already had pen pals sending her prison letters. Join now, if you will. She could also start a new show or magazine or whatever, properly titled Martha Stewart's Prison Living.

One day, Ndoro Yadda told me a story about this cute cartoon character who evolved into succesful merchandise loved by most girls of any age. Unfortunately, there is only the cached version of that original fan site. Ndoro Yadda, do you want to visit 1/2 Price with me this weekend? We could read more stuff about her.
You remember that line, "You had me at "Hello""? Man, quoting movies like that reveals to much of my romantic fool side. Anyway, on the quest to distribute the flyer for B.A.L.I, we've come to a conclusion:
We had them, the people, the sweet target of the occasion, at "Hi".
So peeps, if you ever want to offer people something, with or without a catch, say your loudest, most energetic "Hi", and give them your nicest smile, I repeat, nicest, not creepiest. They will take it, say thanks, and pay more attention to what you've given them.
One more thing.
Will you guys pray for me? I really need it. Thank you.
For every action, there is a reaction.
For every Nobel, there is an Ig® Nobel counterpart, well maybe more.
Check it out, yo! My favorite is the Interdisciplinary Research category. The award goes to the authors of the report Chickens Prefer Beautiful Humans.
Oh, btw, thanks to researcher Prof. Roderick MacKinnon, the 2003 Nobel Co-Laurate in Chemistry, for his study on the structure and mechanics of the ion channel. We are a step closer to understand the fundamental of this transport behavior in cell membranes. Organ diseases, then, could be treated in a much more efficient way.
I was reading some magazine in between commercials. Ndoro Yadda and I were also giving professional commentaries about the game. It felt as if we are the Football Goddesses of it all...haha...Where is Mr. Soonerpride anyway?
Suddenly, there was a t-storm warning on TV. And a couple minutes later, this is how it looked outside. Do you see the white car? It's the Rage. Yeah, he finally got some cleaning he'd been longing for days.
Do you know what's good for a time like this? A nice cup of hot tea and yummy klepon.
"So, how do you get into the West Point?" I asked one of my students in the lab.
"Do you wanna go to the West Point?", he said in a shocking state.
This guy, a 25-year-old, has served for seven years and counting in the Air Force. The other day, he showed me his Air Force badge. Air Specialist, if I'm not mistaken was his then-current position. For a while, a picture of me walking in uniform, greeting other officers, was flashing faithfully.
"No, no, I'm just curious," I said.
"Oh, in that case, first, you have to have a recommendation from you State Senator, well, actually...First, you have to get a very high GPA in highschool, be very athletic, have done a bunch of community services, have clean records, and then the recommendation...In short, you have to be perfect."
Man, don't you think these military officers will be very good candidates for one's life partner because they possess some of those qualities beneficial to a child?
I took a friend, let's just call him H, for his driving license test this morning. We got into small talks while waiting for the examiner to test his driving skills. You can see the stars in H's eyes just by a soft touch of music talking. Isn't it nice to have a passion for something like that? I envy you, my friend.
...and don't tell me that envy is one of the seven deadly sins. Sin is not my fav subject these days, and so is diet.
Have a good weekend, guys. Don't paint the town red, OK!
A white coupe Mitsubishi Mirage, we called it the Rage. My, well ours, prev one was a Civic. I called it the Baby Blue.
2. How long have you had it?
Just this past December, means almost 1 year.
3. What is the coolest feature on your vehicle?
The fact that it is all manual, I mean no central lock, no power windows. That way, you have less worry of the electric motor thing got messed up and you got lock in inside the car or when the power window is jammed, etc etc.
4. What is the most annoying thing about your vehicle?
The automatic transmission. I am longing to drive a manual again. *Brum..brum..*
5. If money were no object, what vehicle would you be driving right now?
I was thinking about some kind of SUV, but then the environmental aspect of it is really really not satisfying. I will opt for a nice sports car wanna be, like a Prelude or a Celica.
Being a computer illiterate that I am, how do you increase the paging file size in XP? I've tried, several times, to no avail. What? Wrong forum? Hey, u never know.
B: It reminds me of a certain relationship, only both parties played the Tom Hanks role.
X: Huahauhauahauah....good one..
B, if u read this, placing you on the spotlight like that, is so da** irresistable. ;)
One more thing.
Translating something from one language to another is one tricky task, especially if it involved the lyrics to "huh-what-do these-words-mean-in-plain-language" songs. I just couldn't wait to see people laughing at the crappy one I prepared for this Sunday's mass. O, Ndoro Yadda & I will wear the traditional kebaya for the procession, yup, in her fav colors, orange. Has my world gone mad? Never thought I will wear orange for once in my life time. To quote Miss Woods comma Elle, "Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed."
